Throwback Thursday: 1975 NCAA Championship Football Team

The Northern Michigan University football team rebounded after a 0-10 season in 1974 to go 13-1 overall in 1975 and beat Western Kentucky 16-14 in the Camellia Bowl to capture the NCAA Division II Championship.

The Wildcats picked up wins in the post season over Livingston and Boise State en route to the championship. The team was inducted as a group into the NMU Sports Hall of Fame in 1997.
