The WinterFest Tailgate will be held between the Berry Events Center and the PEIF (in front of parking lot 60, next to the student entrance). The event will feature live entertainment, contests and free hot chocolate. More information can be found at its Facebook event page or at the WinterFest events website.

The track & field team last competed at The Big Meet on Feb. 10-11. Kameron Burmeister (5,000-meter run), Shayla Huebner (400-meter run) and Jasmine Williams (weight throw) broke their own school records to help the Wildcats place sixth in the 31-team field. Sydney McPeters, Lynsey Collins, Kieren Becker and Huebner teamed to set the Wildcat 4x400 relay record.

At last year's GLIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, Northern Michigan took ninth. Over the course of the two-day meet, the Wildcats finished in the top 10 in eight individual events and two relays. Michelle Juergen's performance in the high jump was a highlight; she captured a bronze medal by tying for third with a height of 5-5.25.

Full basketball and hockey previews will be posted later this week.
