Megan DeChambeau has served as a full time athletic trainer for Northern Michigan University since August 2012 and serves as the primary contact for NMU hockey, Nordic skiing, golf and volleyball.
Prior to taking over responsibilities for hockey and golf, DeChambeau served as the athletic trainer overseeing volleyball, swimming and diving and men’s and women’s basketball. She was a graduate assistant at NMU from August 2011- July 2012 where she oversaw undergraduate students in the NMU Athletic Training Program.
DeChambeau graduated from the College of Mount St. Joseph in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training. While there, she was a clinical intern for the University of South Carolina for men’s soccer and baseball.
DeChambeau then came to Northern Michigan where she earned her Masters in exercise science in May 2013.
DeChambeau is a certified athletic trainer with the NATA, has impact training certification and BOC certifications. She also teaches as an adjunct professor in the NMU Athletic Training Program.
DeChambeau and her husband David reside in Ishpeming.
