TIFFIN, Ohio – The Northern Michigan University men's golf team had a top three finisher after three rounds
of the Tiffin University Kyle Ryman Memorial.
Junior Martin Eliasson (Norrköping, Sweden) tied for third, finishing the weekend with a score of 212 (68-77- 67).
Junior Logan Haight (Ostego, Mich.) also finished in the top 50, tying for 37th (75-75-
Tying for 69th , junior Owen Beyer (DeWitt, Mich.) ended the three rounds with a final total of
232 (72-81- 79). Freshman Landon Elsner (New London, Wisc.) (83-75- 75) and sophomore Kurtis Fontinha (Penticton, B.C.) (82-79- 85) rounded out the competitors for the Wildcats, tying for 78th and 88th, respectively.
As a team, Northern Michigan finished with a tied spot for tenth with McKendree University,
both totaling a final score of 895. Wayne State (869) earned the top spot amongst 21
teams, with Grand Valley State (876) and Tiffin University (877) finishing out the top three
Looking ahead, the men's team will travel to Whistling Straights in Sheboygan, Wisc., to
compete at the Kohler Classic Oct. 23-24.
