Kyle Wittenbach was named the Northern Michigan head men's golf coach in 2014. He then started the women's team in 2015.
During his second season in Marquette, the Wildcat men qualified for their first NCAA Central/Midwest Regional since 1999 after achieving a No. 6 ranking in the Midwest. The Wildcats, who placed in the top five at five events, climbed as high as No. 15 in the national Golfstat rankings during the 2015-16 campaign.
A Professional Golf Association member, Wittenbach won the 2010 GLIAC individual title, helping Ferris State capture the team championship.
As a Bulldog, Wittenbach qualified as an individual for the 2012 NCAA Division II National Golf Championship, which was played in Louisville, Ky.
A native of Lowell, Mich., Wittenbach earned his Professional Golf Management bachelors degree from Ferris State in 2012. He completed his PGA internships at Classic Club (Palm Desert, Calif)., Montreux Golf & Country Club (Reno, Nev.) and Tullymore Golf Resort (Stanwood, Mich).
He and his wife, Heather, reside in Marquette, Mich.
