MARQUETTE, Mich. – College hockey's most historic and successful league, the 62-year-old Western Collegiate Hockey Association, has been home to a record 37 men's national championship teams since its founding in 1951, a record 16 Hobey Baker Memorial Award winners, more than 430 National Hockey League players, 350 All-Americans, and 115 Olympians.

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University hockey team wrapped up the 38th season of Wildcat hockey in 2012-13. The season marked the end of an era as the Central Collegiate Hockey Association played its final season after 42 years. NMU will rejoin the Western Collegiate Hockey Association next season after being a member of the conference from 1984-97.
