COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Northern Michigan men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Ohio Dominican in its second GLIAC game in program history Sunday afternoon.
In the 25th minute of the match, Brent Wahle took a pass from Ryan Kasprzak in the middle of the box and fired a shot past Brin Lapuh.
The teams combined to take nine shots on goal in the contest, with the Panthers holding a slight 6-3 advantage. Five Wildcats attempted at least two shots, with Odin Aam sending both of his on net.
In the 40th minute of the match, Ben Hoffman nearly evened the score at one apiece, but his shot hit the crossbar and deflected out of danger.
With the loss, Northern Michigan falls to 0-3 (0-2 GLIAC) on the season. The Wildcats return to action next weekend when they host Lake Erie (Sept. 16, 4 p.m.) and Walsh (Sept. 18, 4 p.m.) in their first two home games.
