Nordic Ski Set To Host NCAA Central Regional Championships

MARQUETTE, Mich. — The Northern Michigan University nordic ski team is set to host the NCAA Central Regional Championships this weekend at the Al Quaal Recreation Area in Ishpeming, Michigan this Saturday and Sunday (February 22-23).

  LAST TIME OUT

The nordic ski team is coming off a recent sweep at the CCSA Championships up in Houghton, Michigan. 

The weekend saw the Wildcats clinch gold in all four events while eight individuals took had their chance on the podium for NMU. 

With 214 points, the women blew away the competition on their way to a team first-place finish while the men's 198 was enough for first as well. 

  UP NEXT

The team will look to qualify for the NCAA National Championships next month to be hosted in Bozeman, Montana.

The national championship meet will be held at the CrossCut Ski Center on March 12 and 14.
