2017-18: 11 first-place finishes throughout the season. Set a school record in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 26.20. Took third at the GLIAC Championships in the 100-yard breaststroke.
2016-17: Herrera took silver and bronze at the GLIAC Tournament. Achieving silver in the 200-yard Medley Relay (1:30.26) and the taking bronze in the 400-yard Medley Relay (3:17.58).
2015-16: Team Member.
Before NMU: A member of the Costa Rican national team since 2009. Placed third in the 200 breaststroke at the 2013 Central American Games. Named Belén's best male swimmer in 2010-11 and 2013-14. Participated in the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships, FINA World Championships and the 2014 Youth Olympic Games.
