WEEKLY NOTES

Honoring the seniors: Prior to Sunday's game, the Wildcats will honor three seniors, Danielle Grzeskowiak (Brighton, Mich.), Blair Osgood (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Andover), and senior goalkeeper Brianna Bangle (St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall).  Grzeskowiak has amassed 20 ground balls with eight caused turnovers in two years despite missing much of 2018 due to injury.  Osgood totaled 16 goals and six assists during the team's inaugural season.  Bangle led the country in saves per game last year and has posted 336 saves in her two years at NMU.

Ringlever approaches 100:  Sophomore Graison Ringlever (Mattawan, Mich.) has notched 95 draw controls in her career at NMU will soon become the first Wildcat in program history to achieve the milestone of 100 career draw controls.  She has snagged 65 this season after getting 30 last year during her freshman season.  Her 2018 total currently puts her eighth in the GLIAC.

Success from the eight-meter: The Wildcats feature three players in the GLIAC's top five for free position goals.  Ringlever is tied for second with 12 goals from the eight-meter line. Freshman Emily Dvorak (Oconomowoc, Wis./Arrowhead) is tied for fifth with 10.

Scoring points: This year's squad has outscored last year's team by 22 goals and has more than doubled the assist total with four of the top five scorers in their freshman season.  Ringlever and Dvorak have both posted 34 goals to give NMU their first two 30-goal scorers in a season.  Dvorak also leads the team with seven assists.  Freshman Ellie Bahr (Chrystal, Minn./Benilde St. Margarets) has 19 goals with two assists while freshman Bianca Kinder (Haslett, Mich.) has 12 goals and is tied with freshman Tess Kostelec (Columbia, Md./Wilde Lake) with six assists. Kostelec also has 11 goals with Ringlever chipping in with five assists on the season. In total, NMU has scored 122 goals so far and has dished out 29 assists.

NMU versus UIndy: Friday will be the third-ever matchup between the schools and NMU is seeking their first win of the series.

NMU versus McKendree: NMU has faced the Bearcats twice in program history, with Sunday being the third matchup between the schools.  NMU is looking to get their first win over the Bearcats.
