BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — The Northern Michigan track & field team won 12 of the 19 events contested at the Bulldog Invitational Saturday.
Six Wildcats combined to capture 10 individual titles, and two relay teams raced to victory.
"I'm very happy with our effort at the meet," head coach Jenny Ryan said. "It was great to win almost every event, and we had two big NCAA provisional marks. Overall, we had a great day, and I'm excited with our team's performance this early in the season."
Ine Mylle won the triple jump with a distance of 40-5.50, the seventh-best in the NCAA Division II ranks this season.
En route to her title in the discus throw, Jasmine Williams improved her NCAA provisional mark to 157-5.
Northern Michigan next races at the St. Norbert College Twilight on Thursday, April 13.
