HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The 4x400 Meter Relay team for Northern Michigan University Track & Field set another new school record at the Gina Relays hosted by Hillsdale College.
The team posted a new record time of 3:46.9 to win the race. The team consisted of junior Sydney McPeters (Sugarland, Texas), senior Paige Dutcher (Williamston, Mich.), junior Paige Du Bois (Green Bay, Wis.) and senior Shayla Huebner (Marquette, Mich.). The time is also an NCAA Provisional mark and the 14th fastest in the country.
This is the second-straight weekend the Wildcats have set a school record as the team of McPeters, senior Lynsey Collins (Escanaba, Mich.), Dutcher and Huebner posted a time of 3:48.80 at the Al Owens classic last week.
Huebner also competed in the 800 Meter Run and came away with a third place time of 2:11.69. Dutcher competed in the 800 as well and finished in 2:22.55 for 13th.
The Wildcats will now prepare for the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships which begin Wednesday, May 1 and continue through Friday, May 3.
