WESTVILLE, Ind. – The Northern Michigan University Cross Country team competed in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships Saturday and saw three earn Second Team All-GLIAC honors as the Wildcats finished in fifth place.

Senior Katelyn Smith (Gaylord, Mich.) led the Wildcats by placing 12th in a time of 22:09.5. Senior Hanna Torvi (St. Paul, Minn.) crossed the finish line at 22:25.7 for 19th place and freshman Madison Malon (Grandville, Mich.) was 20th at 22:28.8.
The trio all received Second Team All-GLIAC honors as a result of their success Saturday. It was Smith's second All-Conference recognition while Torvi and Malon both collected their first postseason honor.

Four more Wildcats scored points for the NMU squad. Finishing in 33rd was freshman Paige Saiz (Milford, Mich.), posting a time of 23:09.4. Freshman Meghan Langworthy (Big Rapids, Mich.) crossed at 23:15.4 for 39th.
