    GENEVA, Ohio - The Northern Michigan University men’s and women’s swim and dive teams completed their first full day of competition in the Division II National Collegiate Athletic Association Championships yesterday. The women finished the day with one All-American honor while the men had one swimmer receive Honorary All-American recognition.

    SAGINAW, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University Swim and Dive teams finished the 2020 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships Saturday, February 21. The women’s team won with 927.5 points, clinching their seventh title in school history and the first since 2002. The men took third overall with 653.5 points.

The women’s team continues to hold a firm grasp on first place with 704.5 points, while the men who won two of the events Friday evening, are placed in third with 443.5 points.

    SAGINAW, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University Swim and Dive teams concluded their second day of the 2020 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships Thursday with the women’s team holding their first place team score with 456.5 points while the men are third with 304.5 total points halfway through the Championship meet. After their second day of finals, both teams saw NCAA qualifying relay times and the men achieved a new team record.

    BAY CITY, Mich. -- After the Northern Michigan University women’s swim and dive team captured their first ever win at the Calvin College Invitational, senior Rachel Helm (Newcastle upon Tyne, England) has been named Swimmer of the Week as announced by the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference. Helm boasted two individual first place finishes at the meet including signature swims in the 200-yard IM and backstroke.

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Northern Michigan University Swim and Dive teams competes this weekend at the Calvin College Invitational. Thursday marked the first of the three day competition and consisted of relays and distance events. The women’s team finished it off with 206 points, putting them in second place behind Grand Valley State University with 235 points. The men reached 164 points, placing them third behind Calvin College and GVSU.
